Do Looks Really Matter? // Savvy Business Secrets for Creative Entrepreneurs (#31Days)

If the adage "Don't Judge a Book by its Cover" held true in real life, I'd wear pajamas to a job interview and a ski mask on a first date.  Brushing my teeth and deodorant would be considered optional, and I wouldn't check references on my potential babysitter.  

It's just not real life, is it? 

People will judge your business, no matter how extraordinary your product, largely on their first impression.  

Is your website professionally developed, or could it at least pass for professional? Do you have a professional headshot and attractive photos of your merchandise? Are your emails professionally crafted and easy to read, with important points in bold for easy comprehension? When someone meets you in person, are you warm and kind?  

Take time and invest (even meager!) resources to show that you care about details. It will give your prospective customers confidence in doing business with you.
